Dubai, May 2 (PTI) Diksha Dagar was hanging in with a gritty display at the Omega Dubai Moonlight Classic, world's first professional day-night golf tournament, at the Faldo Course here Thursday.
Dagar, winner of the Investec Women's South African Open in March, was lying 31st after the first round. On Thursday as the second round began, she was par through 12 holes and had moved up to T-28th.
She shot two-over 74 in the first round as Ladies European Tour rookie Leona Maguire from Ireland shot a course record eight-under-par 64 in round one.
Leona finished her second round with a 75 to slip down.
Midway through the second round, Esther Henseleit of South Africa added 66 to her first round 69 and was sharing the lead at nine-under with Nuria Iturrios of Spain who shot 67-68.
Maguire carded nine birdies and one bogey, completing her evening round by making a 25-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole under the LED lights set against the glittering Dubai Marina skyline.
The new LET No.1, Nuria Iturrios, from Spain, who won her second Lalla Meryem Cup title in four years on Sunday, is sharing the lead.
