Los Angeles [US], August 24 (ANI): Actress Leslie Mann has opened up about her nearly 30-year marriage to filmmaker Judd Apatow, saying that accepting the challenges of a relationship rather than comparing it with others has helped sustain their bond, according to E! News.
Mann, who married Apatow in June 1997, said the key is to acknowledge the difficulties that come with marriage. "You just accept how hard it is, and not trying to fool yourself," she said on the recent episode of Kylie Kelce's 'Not Gonna Lie' podcast. "That's the secret." She added, "It's really hard."

According to E! News, the 'This Is 40' star said she sometimes feels insecure about her marriage when she hears other couples describe their relationships as perfect.
"I feel bad about myself or my marriage when I see other people talking about their perfect marriages," Mann said, adding that she sometimes wonders, "Is mine way harder than it should be? And then what am I doing with him?"

She then joked, "I can't leave now because it's almost 30 years and that's lame."
Mann, 54, said friendship and humour have also helped her relationship with Apatow, 58, remain strong.
"We find each other entertaining and funny sometimes," she said. "He's my best friend, and I tell him everything," according to E! News.
The actress, who shares daughters Maude Apatow, 28, and Iris Apatow, 23, with the filmmaker, described her marriage as "the biggest lesson" and said, "I'm constantly learning from our relationship."
Mann also spoke about learning to prioritise self-care as her daughters have grown older. "When my kids were little, I didn't have self-care," she recently told E! News. "I didn't even know how to do it. I didn't even think of myself, because I just didn't--and that was a mistake. I think it's important to at least sleep."
"Now that my kids are older, I'm better with it," she added. "I have more time for myself. I don't know how you do it when you're a mom of young kids."
"But also, I have a 28-year-old now and a 23-year-old," Mann said. "And they're awesome," according to E! News. (ANI)
