Shimla, May 4 (PTI) A government school teacher was dismissed from service for allegedly sexually harassing a student, an official statement said today.

The Department of Elementary Education dismissed the accused after it received various complaint against him for past some time.  

It was found that the said teacher was allegedly misbehaving with the students and sexually harassing the female students for past some time, an official release said.

The police have registered a case against the accused under relevant section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
