Mumbai, Dec 20 (PTI) Fourth-seed Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu played brilliantly to upset second seed Aditya Jagtap to advance to the finals of the HCL-SRFI India Tour played here on Friday.

Seventh seed Hana Ramadan overcame a strong challenge from Tanvi Khanna on her road to the finals.

Aditya hit a few amazing strokes to race to 11-8 victory in the first game.

After the setback, Harinder refocused and got back into the game matching Jagtap in speed and skill to force a tie-breaker at 10-10.

Harinder kept his nerves and kept attacking Jagtap's weak areas winning the 2nd game 15-13, and was unstoppable as he went on to take the 3rd and 4th set 11-5, 11-9, defeating a higher ranked opponent to advance to the finals.

In the womens semi-finals, 7th seed Hana Ramadan of Egypt continued her fine run in the tournament as she defeated a higher ranked Tanvi Khanna to advance to the finals.

Hana faced a stiff challenge, but was able to hold off Tanvi during the crucial moments to take the game 11-8, 11-9, 11-3.
