New Delhi [India], Nov 30 (ANI): The Hockey India (HI) has referred the case of "inappropriate" sale of match tickets in the ongoing 14th edition of the ongoing Men's Hockey World Cup to a ticket agency for further investigation in the matter.

The development comes in the light of reports stating that tickets for the opening day matches of the prestigious event were being sold in an "inappropriate" manner.

HI also claimed to have received the personal details of the two individuals who might be involved in the case. "It has been brought to the attention of Hockey India, the host national association of the Odisha Hockey Men's World Cup Bhubaneswar 2018, that there has been malicious reports alleging tickets for the Opening day matches of the prestigious event were being sold in an inappropriate manner," HI said in a statement.

"The matter has been referred to a ticket agency for further action and they have already submitted the details of the two individuals that appear in the inconclusive video for necessary action by the Police Department," the statement added.

The 2018 Men's Hockey World Cup, which kick started on November 28, will go on till December 16 in Bhubaneswar. (ANI)
