'IAF Launching Competition to Develop Drones'
To promote and enthuse participation of sharpest technical minds and tap innovative potential in emerging technological domain, the Indian Air Force is launching a competition to develop and design drones, Air Force Chief B S Dhanoa said Wednesday.

"The Indian Air Force is launching a competition to develop and design drones," the Air Force Chief said in press conference.
The competition is named Baba Mehar Singh Competition in honour of one of the IAF's highly decorated officers in World War II and it will be open to all Indian citizens and entities.
"IAF would give Rs 10 lakh prize money to the winner and Rs 10 crore to each selected team followed by a co-production order of Rs 100 crores,” he said.
