Cuddalore (Tamil Nadu) [India], October 4 (ANI): Police in Tamil Nadu detained a few members of the Communist Party of India (CPM) at Cuddalore as they planned to show black flags to Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi, who was about to participate in Nandanar Guru Puja.
According to police, CPM cadres had planned to show the black flag to the Governor in Cuddalore near Kattumannarkoil Temple.

The police officials detained the protesters and took them to a private hall, sources said.
Sources informed that CPM workers were protesting against the Governor on various issues. They also have alleged that RN Ravi was acting as a BJP's mouthpiece and not giving assent to Bills that were passed by the state Assembly.

Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi participated in Nandanar Temple Guru Puja as scheduled in Adhanur village near Kattumannarkovil in Cuddalore district.
He also inaugurated the 'Poonul' ceremony for 250 people, followed by an address to them. (ANI)
