Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 9 (ANI): Three people were critically injured in a road accident that took place on Saturday (September 9) morning in the Hazratganj police station area of Lucknow. 

The accident happened in the early morning hours of Saturday when a car ran over an e-rickshaw driver sleeping on the roadside, and overturned after hitting a divider near Gomti Bridge in Sankalp Vatika, officials said.

According to the officials, there were two people in the car who were allegedly drunk at the time of the accident.

The condition of the rickshaw driver, who was sleeping on the pavement, and the car occupants is said to be serious, they said.

The injured were referred to a trauma center.

Further investigation is underway. (ANI)
