Los Angeles, Oct 24 (PTI) Actor Johnny Depp is all set to feature in and produce the drama "Waiting for the Barbarians".

According to Variety, the 55-year-old actor has partnered with Andrea Iervolino to develop and produce film and digital content.

Depp will be joined by actors Mark Rylance and Robert Pattinson in the film, which is an adaptation of JM Coetzee's novel of the same name.

The film is about a small colonial town magistrate who undergoes a crisis of conscience after he witnesses the cruel treatment of prisoners of war.

To be directed by Ciro Guerra, the feature will be produced by Depp through his banner, Infinitum Nihil.

Monika Bacardi, Michael Fitzgerald and Olga Segura will co-produce.
