Junior doctors in Telangana, who have been agitating against the National Medical Commission (NMC) bill, continued their protests on Tuesday.

Hyderabad, Aug 6 (PTI) Junior doctors in Telangana, who have been agitating against the National Medical Commission (NMC) bill, continued their protests on Tuesday.

A group of students have been on indefinite fast for the past few days, while another group held a relay hunger strike for a day on Tuesday, the protesting junior doctors said.

They said police have granted permission to organise 'Vydya Garjana' ('roar of medical professionals) at Dharna Chowk in the city on Wednesday.

The junior doctors had earlier met state health minister E Rajender who assured them that he would represent to the Union Health Minister (Harsh Vardhan) on the issue. PTI
