Kaushambi (UP), Aug 26 (PTI) The body of a 22-year-old man was found floating in a pond here on Monday, police said.

The body, found in a pond near Ajmat Ganj Rain Basera of Chayal town, was fished out and sent for post-mortem, Pipri SHO Balram Singh said.

The deceased has been identified as Ajay Kumar alias Natu, a resident of Chayal town, he said.

According to Kumar's family members, he left the house two-three days back and did not return.

The SHO said that the family members have not expressed any suspicion on anyone.

Further legal action will be taken in the case after the post-mortem report arrives, he said.
