Kabul [Afghanistan], June 8 (ANI): The Chief Executive of Afghanistan, Abdullah Abdullah during his meeting with the United Kingdom's (UK) Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Boris Johnson, said, no country would use terrorism to achieve foreign policy goals.
Both the UK and Afghanistan stressed on the need for taking firm action against terrorism in Afghanistan.
Johnson assured the Afghan officials to support Afghanistan in all the sectors including fight against insurgency, Tolo News reported.
The government of UK will ensure peace and stability in the country, he added.
The topics discussed between the two sides included, enhancing the bilateral relations between Kabul and London, combating terrorism, increase in military and non-military assistance to Afghanistan and to establish peace in the region.
This meeting happened during Abdullah's three-day visit to the UK on June 6.
He is also scheduled to meet with the UK Prime Minister Theresa May and Prince Charles. (ANI)
