Nagpur, Jun 4 (PTI) A man died of a heart attack today some time after participating in an agitation here over the low purchase price of milk.

"One of the protesters, Sharad Khedikar, died of a heart attack after complaining of uneasiness moments after our agitation ended. He was dropped home but his health deteriorated. He was rushed to a private hospital where he was declared brought dead," said Prashant Pawar, president of the Jai Jawan Jai Kisan party that had organised the protest.

Pawar said that Khedikar (45), a resident of Kharbhi area in Nagpur, was the vice-president of the Jai Jawan Jai Kisan party.

The protest, which lasted between 10:30am and noon, took place in Prajapati Square in the city's Pardi area, he said.
