Mumbai, Apr 5 (PTI) Small sugar prices declined further at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

While, medium sugar prices ruled steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Small sugar (S-30) fell by Rs 25 per quintal to Rs 2,970/3,126 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 2,995/3,126.

Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 3,075/3,302 per quintal.

Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,970/3,126 (Rs 2,995/3,126).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,075/3,302 (Rs 3,075/3,302).
