New Delhi [India], Nov 04 (ANI): South Korean First Lady Kim-Jung Sook arrived in India on Sunday.
She was invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the chief guest of the Deepotsav event, which is being organised by the government of Uttar Pradesh and the ground-breaking ceremony of the Queen Suriratna (Heo Hwang-ok) Memorial in Ayodhya on November 6.
Ayodhya and Korea have a deep historical connection through the legendary Princess Suriratna of Ayodhya, who travelled to Korea in 48 CE and married Korean King Suro.
India and Korea share a special strategic partnership. Kim had last visited India along with South Korean President Moon Jae-in as part of his first-ever state visit to the country in July this year. His visit had imparted new strength to India's evolving partnership. (ANI)
