Ranchi, Jul 22 (PTI) Jharkhand government on Monday tabled the first supplementary budget of this fiscal amounting to over Rs 3,908.63 crore.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Nilkanth Singh Munda, the officiating minister for Finance department, placed the supplementary budget on the first day of the monsoon session.
Out of the total supplementary budget, Rs 3,297.04 crore is underlined for revenue expenditure while the rest amount is estimated as capital expenditure.
Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Cooperative, Building Construction, the Cabinet (Election department), Energy are some of the departments which have got bulk of the amount.
The government also placed action taken report on assurances given to the House during the previous session.
Later, the House paid tributes to Marxist Coordination Committee leader and three-time Lok Sabha leader A K Roy, who passed away in Dhanbad on Sunday.
The House condoled the death of former Delhi chief minister and Congress leader Sheila Dikshit, Lokjanshakti Party MP Ramchandra Paswan, Uttarakhand's Finance and Parliamentary Minister Prakash Pant, former MLA Mangeram Garg, actor Girish Karnad, Ranchi's Neuro Surgeon K K Sinha and other notable figures who passed away after the last budget session.
The members observed two-minute silence as mark of respect to the departed leaders before adjourning the House for the day.
