New Delhi [India], Apr. 21 (ANI): The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) apprehended a Zimbabwean woman and seized drugs worth Rs. 35 lakh from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport.

The drugs weighed approximately about 5 kg.

The accused has been identified as Blessing Munetsi, who was travelling to Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa city.

"The women passenger was intercepted by CISF surveillance staff for random checking. During the screening of her bags, we found plastic rolls wrapped with decorative ribbons. When the items were checked by narcotic drug detection kit, it tested positive for Methaqualone/ Pseudoephedrine," a CISF official said.

"The bag was found to be containing 40 plastic rolls wrapped with said substance," official added.

On the arrival of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) officials, the said woman along with the suspected drug was handed over to them for further legal action.

A case has been registered in this regard and a probe has been launched. (ANI)
