New Delhi, January 17 : The Auto Expo 2023 has been a highly awaited event, as it gave a miss to the 2022 edition on top of being a biennial mega car show. While the stalls of the ongoing 16th edition Auto Expo are all glittering with innumerable cars and concepts from various auto majors, few of the brands outshone the others with long lineups of new cars, one such automotive major is MG.

The Chinese-owned British car brand MG showcased a long lineup of 14 production-ready cars, comprising of electric vehicles, plug-in hybrids (PHEV) and a hydrogen fuel cell vehicle (FCV) at the Auto Expo 2023. With its extensive lineup of new cars, MG Motor India not only wishes to gain maximum attention from the Indian audience, but also made the most of the event’s theme of sustainability for the current edition. MG Electrified Vehicle Highlights At the Auto Expo 2023 :

Marvel R EV

One of the eye candies at the MG pavilion is the Marvel R electric SUV. Globally, the MG Marvel R gets an AWD version that comes with a triple electric motor setup making a combined 288PS and 665Nm, a top speed of 200kmph and a range of up to 402km.

Euniq 7 FCV

MG unveiled its Euniq 7 hydrogen powered fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) at the Auto Expo 2023, that grabbed the limelight. This production ready FCV MPV is based on the company’s third-generation fuel cell technology. The Euniq 7 features a 6.4kg hydrogen tank that can be refuelled in just 3 minutes and offers a range of 605km.

eHS PHEV

The MG eHS midsize plug-in hybrid SUV has high probability to make it to the Indian market. It packs in a 1.5 turbo-petrol engine offering 162PS and 250Nm, while its 16.6kWh battery offers an electric-only range of 52km.

Mifa 9 EV

Mifa 9 is a full-size electric MPV sold in China under MG’s Chinese owner SAIC automotive group. eRX5 EV

The MG eRX5 is dashing looking midsize electric SUV in the brand’s global lineup. Apart from powerful performance, it also offers ADAS (advanced driver-assistance systems) tech and an up-class cabin.

MG4 EV

The MG4 is a new EV based on the company’s new modular platform. This aggressively designed electric hatchback gets two battery options and offers a range of up to 450km.

MG5 EV

The MG5 is a one-of-a-kind electric estate (derivative of sedan). It is being evaluated for the Indian market alongside a lot of the other EVs from MG. It comes with a powerful electric motor and a 61.1kWh battery that offers a range of up to 525km.

eMG6 PHEV

The eMG6 is a sedan flaunting a bold styling and featuring a plug-in hybrid powertrain. This sedan also gets ADAS tech package and can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just six seconds.
