As per a report by Autocar India, the E 53 utilises a 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol engine paired with an integrated electric motor. The vehicle is equipped with a 21.2kWh usable battery, which provides an electric-only range of over 100km. The electric motor allows for zero-emission driving at speeds of up to 140kph, and the system supports 11kW AC charging. Additionally, international markets offer an optional 60kW DC charger capable of a 10-80 percent charge in approximately 20 minutes. Inside, the cabin is fitted with AMG sports seats, a performance-oriented steering wheel, and a dual-display dashboard comprising a 12.3-inch instrument cluster and a 14.4-inch central touchscreen.
