Every time we hear the name Smita Patil, we think of boldness coupled with elegance, incredible talent and everything unconventional. So when the prestigious Smita Patil award is conferred upon someone, we check the much-needed credentials and ensure that all the boxes are ticked, especially in the much desired and much fading, talent department. So when we heard that Anushka Sharma will be receiving the award we were prompt with our reaction: Now, this one is well deserved indeed!

Anushka has come a long way since her debut in Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Rab Ne Bana Di' Jodi of YRF. She worked in some really fantastic films where she displayed he unmatched acting prowess and her powerful on-screen presence.  PK, NH 10, Philuari, Pari, Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, films are many that stand a testimony to her talent. In fact, Sharma cares to craft good films for which she started her own production as well at such a young age.
