Randeep Hooda's contribution to the Hindi film industry is yet to get its due credit. The versatile actor is celebrating his 42nd birthday today. As a token of appreciation, we are going to talk about the efforts he has put into physical transformation for the movies. We are sure even you must have come across posts, on social media, about Christian Bale's body transformations for his roles. While we all have applauded the actor for his efforts, the same courtsey has rarely been extended to our hero on home turf, Randeep. The actor, too, just like Christian has put his body under duress to bring out the element of authenticity to the art. We really really need to celebrate the Randeep in India just like the west appreciates its actors. Very happy birthday to the hunk who doesn't mind shedding his vanity for the role. Randeep Hooda, you rock.
Sarabjit

We will start off with the most obvious one. Randeep lost oodles of weight for his role in this biopic. Not just that, since this was a before and after element in the story, Randeep had to dwindle between weights as well. "I was a muscular 94 kg at the time and while it's easy to burn fat, it's hard to lose muscle. I was expecting to shoot the portions when Sarabjit was a pahalwan in his village and then slowly shed weight. The decision came as a shock and led to a period of physical and mental torture," he said in an interview.
Do Lafzon Ki Kahaani
Randeep played a boxer in his forgotten romantic drama. The actor was required to put on 17 kgs to fit the role. The movie went unnoticed, thus rendering Randeep's efforts vain. But still, the dedication is worth a bow. What Randeep Hooda Did for Kerala Flood Victims is Indeed a Noble Gesture - See Pics.
Battle of Saragarhi movie

While Do Lafzon Ki Kahaani did make it to the cinemas, one of Randeep's films was shelved. The actor worked in Rajkumar Santoshi's film on Battle of Saragarhi, which never saw the light of the day. And thus, we also missed out on Randeep's transformation for the same. In an interview with Film Companion, he revealed, "I already spent two-and-a-half years with a long beard and hair, and turned into a Sikh. The beard was up to my bellybutton. I didn't cut a single hair on my body for two-and-a-half years, like Sikhs do. I really attempted to live that character,"
Main Aur Charles
Right before the release of his film, Main Aur Charles, Randeep had admitted that he enjoys roles that require him to transform. He said, during a media interaction, "My favourite roles are the ones which include transformation, like 'Highway' or 'Bombay Talkies', and this part, Main Aur Charles, is also pretty transformational. It is something I enjoy the most,"
On the work front, we will see Randeep in two extremely interesting projects. First being Imtiaz Ali's next, tentatively titled, Aaj Kal. We all know what a satisfying end result it was when Randeep and Imtiaz teamed up for Highway, so hoping the same for this upcoming project. Then, Randeep will also be seen in the Hollywood film, titled, Dhaka. The movie has been produced by Avengers: Endgame directors, Russo Brothers. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth in the lead role.
