Nearly two decades after "Tera Mera Rishta" became a hallmark romantic anthem, composer Mithoon has revisited the beloved melody for Awarapan 2. Speaking about the audience's reaction, Mithoon shared his gratitude for how warmly fans have embraced the updated track. He noted that beyond its special place in listeners' lives, the original song functioned as Shivam’s heart reaching out to the Divine. In contrast, this new rendition represents the Almighty's answer to a call for Shivam to rise and confront evil once more.

The updated version also features a shift in vocal texture, introducing singers Saaj Bhatt and Subodh Sharma.
