Emraan Hashmi and great songs go hand in hand. We can rely on him blindly that his movies will feature songs that we will listen to on loop for weeks. For years, in case of Bheege Honth from Murder. His next film, Cheat India, is no exception to the rule. A new love melody from the film is out and it is a sure shot chartbuster. Titled Dil Mein Ho Tum, the song is the kind that can give you butterflies in the stomach. Love bugs are going to cherish this number with all their heart. The only downside is that this one too, like many Bollywood songs these days, is a remake.

Dil Mein Ho Tum originally featured in Satyamev Jayate. No, not the John Abraham film. The 1987 film featuring Vinod Khanna. The original composer of the song was Bappi Lahiri, who has been credited in the remake as well, alongside composer Rochak Kohli.

Armaan Malik has sung the new Dil Mein Ho Tum. And what do say about his voice? If there was an audio equivalent to Dairy Milk Silk, that would be Armaan's voice. Wonderfully done, man!

The music video feature Emraan's romance with debutante Shreya Dhanwanthary, who has a sweet screen presence. Looking forward. The romance is very much like a '90s movie, but given the time period that the movie is set in, it makes sense.

I am not a fan of song remakes. Definitely not if they are being remade in such abundance. But if the rehash is going to be as good as this Cheat India number, I am fine with it.

Cheat India, directed by  Soumik Sen, releases on January 25. The movie will clash with Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: Queen of Jhansi.
