Ganesh Chaturthi is celebrated with zeal by Salman Khan's family. Especially, his sister Arpita Khan Sharma loves the festival. Last year, the family changed a 14 years old tradition and started hosting the Ganesha idol at Arpita's home instead of the abode at Galaxy Apartments. This year too, the new tradition has continued and Arpita has welcomed Bappa at her house. Ganesh Chaturthi 2018: Pics of Shilpa Shetty and Sanjay Dutt's Ganesha idols arriving at their residence are joyous.

Earlier in an interview, talking about the reason for shifting the festivities to her place, Arpita had said,  "Actually, it becomes a little difficult for dad (Salim Khan) and mom (Salma Khan) because there are so many people coming in and they don't get their space. For two days, there are people constantly in and out, and it's a bit much for them. Last year, too, we talked about moving it out of Galaxy. This year we got this new house and so we decided to do the celebrations at our place." Ganesh Chaturthi Special: When Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Came Under One Roof For Ganpati Celebrations! - Watch Video.

Another interesting fact about Salman's Ganpati celebrations is that he will be there in the city with his family. In 2016, Salman was shooting for his Kabir Khan film, Tubelight, in Manali and missed out on the festivities. Last year, during the festive season he was shooting for Tiger Zinda Hai in Abu Dhabi but made sure to take a break to come home for Ganesh Chaturthi. This year, too. despite having his next film Bharat to shoot for, the actor has made sure he stays with his family.

As last year, we are guessing this year, too, Arpita will have the visarjan ceremony in an eco-friendly way in her garden. That would such an inspiration for everyone who celebrates the festival.
