Kartik Aaryan Gets Injured on Kabir Khan's Film Set
According to an exclusive report by India Today, Kartik Aaryan sustained the injury during the final two days of filming for the untitled sports drama. The actor had been undergoing rigorous training with action coaches in preparation for the demanding sequences, but during one such shoot, he reportedly hurt his knee severely. Following the incident, he was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical attention.
Sources close to the production, as reported by India Today, confirmed that Aaryan has been admitted to Fortis Raheja Hospital in Mahim, Mumbai, where he is currently under medical care. Doctors are expected to perform knee surgery within a day. Post-surgery, the 35-year-old actor will require several days of rest for recovery before he can resume his professional commitments.
This injury comes at a particularly busy and high-achieving phase in Aaryan's career. He recently bagged the Best Actor award at the 72nd National Film Awards (announced in July 2026) for his stellar performance in Kabir Khan's 2024 biographical sports drama, Chandu Champion. Chandu Champion was released on June 14, 2024.
Following his recovery from this knee injury, Kartik is slated to resume work on Anurag Basu's untitled romantic drama, which also stars Sreeleela. His upcoming projects also include the fantasy-comedy-adventure film Naagzilla, slated for a February 12, 2027, release, and Captain India, with a theatrical release date of August 13, 2027.
