Lata Mangeshkar Announces Donation of Rs 1 Crore to Indian Army on Master Dinanath Mangeshkar's Death Anniversary

The cowardly Pulwama terror attack carried out by Pakistan based terrorist outfit got called out by the entire nation. The attack that killed over 40 CRPF jawans and injured many got avenged today as the Indian Air Force carried out a surgical strike on JeM terrorist camps across the LOC. The Bollywood celebs are lauding the step taken and have also donated for the martyrs' families. Joining the bandwagon is legendary singer, Lata Mangeshkar. The nightingale of Bollywood revealed that she is donating Rs 1 crore to the Indian Army. Speaking with Maharashtra Times, she said that she will donate the amount to the Indian Soldiers on the occasion of her father, Master Dinanath Mangeshkar's death Anniversary. She added, "Many people in the industry always help soldiers who sacrifice their lives for the nation. Even now, people from the industry are helping out. We have also announced something from our end."

Earlier, noted actor Amitabh Bachchan 2.5 crores to the jawans' families. Also, Akshay Kumar donated Rs 5 crores to the hrough the Bharat Ke Veer funds. He also appealed to the fans to do the same and help the families in their own little way.

Speaking of the surgical strike, celebs like Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Nimrat Kaur, Anupam Kher, Emraan Hashmi, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya tweeted in honor of the Indian Air Force. They joined the Twitterverse in celebrating the victory of the Indian army. Indeed the force and the bravery of the army has to be lauded and what's a better way than this?
