Sridevi's comeback film was one of the most awaited ones especially after her superb performances in English Vinglish and Mom. However, her sudden demise in Dubai left the country shell-shocked leaving a hollow void in the industry. The legendary actress was roped in Karan Johar, Abhishek Varman's next film 'Shiddat'. However, after her sudden departure, speculations started about who will replace the diva in the film. Sridevi's elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor herself took social media to announce the name of the actress who will replace her mom in the film and it is none other than Madhuri Dixit.

The Dhadak actress tweeted," Abhishek Varman’s next film was very close to mom’s heart ....Dad, Khushi and I are thankful to Madhuriji for now being a part of this beautiful film...." Well, now we know that the rumors of the movie being shelved are totally false.

There have been reports that the lead star cast of Shiddat includes Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur. However, no official confirmation has been given on the same. A source earlier told to a leading daily, "There are a lot of speculative stories during the rounds about the star cast of Abhishek Verman's Shiddat but let us clarify, no one has been approached for the film yet.  Karan is very sensitive about the Kapoor family and till all the post-death rituals of Sridevi are not completed, he wouldn't start anything. Also, Karan is not in the country so till he isn't back, nobody would be approached."

It will be a delight to watch Bollywood's Dhak Dhak girl on the silver screen once again but we will miss Sridevi too. Also, it will be amazing to watch her reunite with her co-star Sanjay Dutt after long, long time. Till we update you about the confirmed cast of the film, stay tuned to LatestLY.
