Kangana Ranaut starrer Panga has received tremendous positive response from critics. The actress was once again seen in her fullest form as a boxer in this sports drama by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. However, sadly, the film has not managed to earn much at the ticket box office. The film is facing the brunt of superhit film, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and the newly released Street Dancer 3D. Street Dancer 3D Box Office Report: Here's How Much Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor's Movie Collected on First Day.

So, on day one, Panga collected only Rs 2.70 crore. On the other hand, Varun Dhawan-Shraddha Kapoor's Street Dancer 3D collected more than Rs 10 crore. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh writes, "#Panga records a low total on Day 1... Gathered momentum towards evening shows at select multiplexes, but occupancy at multiplexes of Tier-2 and 3 cities remained dull... Strong word of mouth should ensure growth on Day 2 and 3... Fri ₹ 2.70 cr. #India biz." Check out the tweet below.

Panga Box Office Collection

Well, it was just the first Friday so we can expect the makers to make some money during the first weekend. The positive reviews and word of mouth might play a bigger role in helping in this. On the other hand, not just Panga but Street Dancer 3D too are affected by the Tanhaji wave. The Ajay Devgn starrer historical drama surpassed the Rs 200 crore figure at the box office. What's surprising is that people are still opting for this movie over the others despite it being in the theatres for quite long now. Let us wait for the first weekend to pass to declare what's hit and what's not!
