‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ Triggers 24-Hour Schedule

The overwhelming surge in ticket sales has forced exhibitors to implement a 24-hour screening model, a rarity for the Indian film industry. In the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, theatres like PVR Chakala and MovieMax have scheduled shows starting as early as 1:50 AM.

Even iconic venues are adjusting decades-long traditions to accommodate the film. Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir, which has screened Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (DDLJ) at 11:30 AM for 30 years, has moved the classic to an earlier morning slot to make room for the new sequel's extensive runtime.

Paid previews for Dhurandhar: The Revenge are set to begin at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, and have already grossed over INR 35 crore, breaking previous records for preview collections in India. General ticket sales for the official opening on March 19 are also trending at record levels, with total global pre-sales exceeding INR 125 crore.

Ticket pricing has seen a significant surge due to the high interest:

Premium Formats: Recliner seats in luxury Mumbai multiplexes have reached prices as high as INR 3,100, while premium spots in Delhi are retailing for up to INR 2,400.

Standard Rates: Average ticket prices for the Hindi version are hovering around INR 418, with IMAX and Dolby Cinema formats priced significantly higher at approximately INR 759.

Regional Pricing: While prices remain high in Karnataka and Telangana, the Tamil-dubbed version maintains a lower average of INR 166 due to local state price caps.
