We have earlier reported about how Sanjay Dutt is turning a producer with the remake of the Telugu hit Prasthanam. Titled Prasthaanam, the thriller is helmed by the director of the original film, Deva Katta. Ali Fazal has been cast as Sanjay Dutt's son in the movie, while Amyra Dastur is playing the female lead. Now we hear that Manisha Koirala has roped in the movie to play Sanjay Dutt's wife in the film.

Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala have worked in quite a few movies like Sanam, Kartoos, Khauff, Yalgaar, Baaghi. They had last worked together in Mehbooba in 2008 (that also had Ajay Devgn in the lead). So Prasthaanam marks their reunion after a gap of 10 years. Interestingly, Manisha Koirala is playing the late Nargis Dutt, who was Sanjay Dutt's mother in his biopic, Sanju.

It was Mumbai Mirror that broke this news. A source close to the project told the newspaper, "Manisha and Sanjay have known each other for many years and are excited to work together again. Manisha has really liked the script and immediately agreed to come on board,"

Even the director, Deva Katta, confirmed the news to the publication. Speaking to Mirror, he said, "Each character in Prasthaanam has a very strong role to play for which we needed actors with great calibre. When the team came up with the idea of casting Manisha for the part of Sanjay's onscreen wife, it felt like the perfect match. I am looking forward to direct them, especially since they are coming back together after 10 years."

Prasthaanam will go on floors on June 1 and will be shot in Lucknow.
