Sunny Leone has come a long way in Bollywood. With hit tracks like ‘Laila’, ‘Baby Doll’, ‘Pink Lips’ on her name, she is now set to showcase her real self to the world. On the release of her web series biopic 'Karenjit Kaur - The Untold Story of Sunny Leone', she bared all the inhibitions that she had and wishes to show her fans who the real Sunny Leone is. Talking to an agency, Sunny revealed how she faced hatred from a very young age and how her parents reacted to the decision of joining the adult film industry.

The Jism 2 actress revealed, “Many people have the misconception that people started criticising me when I decided to come to India, but that is not true. I started getting hate mails and criticism when I was around 21 years old. But at the age of 21, when you see people are saying really nasty things about you, it affects you so badly... I was vulnerable and broken from within emotionally.”

Sunny was born as Karenjit in a middle-class Sikh family settled in Canada. Like all the Indian middle-class families, hers too had some issues of the actress joining the adult film industry. Revisiting these memories, the 36-year-old actress revealed, “Like many families, there are some problems in our family too. There is love, hate, emotional moments in all our lives, but our parents protected my brother and me from all the negativity, as much as they could.”

“Reverse psychology always happens and that was definitely the case with me and my parents. They were thinking that if they forcefully stop me, I might just gain more curiosity and then I might not return from that world. Of course, I went to a different direction that my parents did not want me to... But I want to say that I love my life the way it is and everything happens for a reason. I have no complaints,” she added.

Sunny Leone has done films like One Night Stand, Ragini MMS 2, Kuch Kuch Locha Hai, Beiimaan Love, Jism 2, Mastizaade, Jackpot to name a few.
