Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan's Bollywood debut opposite Sonam Kapoor with The Zoya Factor is all set to release on September 20. The film is a romantic comedy revolving around Team India's "X" factor Zoya Solanki played by Sonam Kapoor, who turns out to be a lucky charm for their 2011 World Cup Victory. The trailer of the film hint at mixed reviews among the audiences despite Dulquer Salmaan, Sonam Kapoor's fresh pairing on screen. It has to compete against five other films releasing on the same day - two Bollywood and three Hollywood offerings. Sanjay Dutt and Manisha Koirala's Prassthanam and Karan Deol's Bollywood debut Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas are its Indian competition. It would take on Hollywood releases at the BO including Sylvester Stallone's Rambo: Last Blood, Jeffrey Wright's The Goldfinch and Maggie Smith's Downton Abbey.  Before Sonam Kapoor’s ‘The Zoya Factor’, These Bollywood Celebs’ Lucky Charms Were the Talk of the Town.

With Sonam's last outing Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga bombing at the BO, she would certainly need a lucky charm with The Zoya Factor in terms of box-office business. Also, past releases Dream Girl and Chhichore may give the film a run for its money. It would be interesting to see whether the film would sustain above all.
