Kabir Singh, which is the Hindi remake of Telugu blockbuster, Arjun Reddy has been making a lot of money at the box office. The film, which stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani in lead roles is directed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, who also helmed the original film. Both Shahid and Kiara have been appreciated for their respective performances in the movie. However, not many know that instead of Kiara, it was Tara Sutaria, who was almost signed for the film. Now that Kabir Singh has turned out to be a huge success, Tara was asked if she regrets losing it to Kiara.

From what she has said on this, looks like she already knew the outcome of this film. "It's a remake of a hit film so it was bound to do well," she told Mumbai Mirror.  'Arjun Reddy' Vijay Deverakonda Sends Gift and a Flirty Note to Kabir Singh Actress Kiara Advani! View Pic.

A set of people were highly uncomfortable while watching Kabir Singh for they feel that it glorifies misogyny and toxic male behaviour. When Tara was asked about this, she said, "As a woman, a human being and an artiste, I know have a certain social responsibility, but as artistes we also have a certain artistic freedom and the right to express as we please. It's on the audience as to how they interpret that. Personally, I am a fan of both Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh." We wonder why did she turn it down then.

However, Kiara revealed in an interview earlier this month that she was approached for Kabir Singh even before Tara turned it down. "I did a screen test for Kabir Singh and Sandeep sir liked it. Things were almost locked but then for reasons best known it did not work out then. The film went through casting changes and one day it came back to me. I did ask the director why cast me again? He said because 'I only see you'. He was convinced that only I could do this film. I truly believe films are in your destiny," she was quoted.

Kabir Singh released on June 21. In a span of nine days, the film has managed to earn over Rs. 150 crore at the domestic box office. Have you watched Kabir Singh yet? What are your thoughts on it? Let us know by tweeting to us @LatestLY.
