As per a report in Collider, the Bohemian Rhapsody actor is in final negotiations to star as the main villain in the next Bond movie. While no official announcement of the same is made yet, sources say, both the parties are waiting for the right time. Rami especially wanted to wait and see if he'd bag an Oscar this time. That would obviously help him raise his quote. The movie that also stars Daniel Crag will be written and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga. Variety had earlier reported about Malek being the first choice of the makers to play the main antagonist in Bond 25. However, since his dates for the same were then clashing with Mr Robot, he had to let go of the offer. However, recent developments suggest that the actor's team at WME has successfully negotiated his shooting schedule to make way for both the productions and this is a sort of win-win situation for him. Saïd Taghmaoui Uncertain About Negative Role in 25th Bond Film.

Moroccan actor Said Taghmaoui of Wonder Woman fame had briefly dropped hints about him being in talks for the same role when Danny Boyle was directing it.
