Marvel is all set to introduce you to the newest entrant in their clan. Captain Marvel starring Brie Larson is all set to release in theatres on March 8. The special part though is that the film is releasing on International Women's Day. The American superhero who goes by the name of Carol Danvers is being hailed as a feminist icon today because of the lack of representation of women in the superhero genre.

Captain Marvel's co-director Anna Boden has mentioned in an interview that the character of Larson is about individuality and how her character embraces herself. The story revolves around Carol realising her powers and helping tackle a galactic war. Captain Marvel also stars Jude Law and Samuel L Jackson in key roles. Captain Marvel New Poster: Brie Larson As The Badass Superhero Soars High Above Planet Earth!

Fans are still trying to determine if Captain Marvel is merely an origins film or it will give out any clues to Avengers: End Game. Previously, we have seen in the teaser of the film that Carol is having memories of incidents she doesn't remember but the timeline of events, whether it is her present or past is not yet defined.

We are certainly looking forward to the film as it will hit the screens on March 8. Considering its women-centric theme, the film is expected to perform well with a Women's day release date.
