Zack Snyder, the director known for his visually aesthetic style of film-making, has been on the low ever since the whole fiasco over Justice League happened. Personal and professional tragedy had struck him last year, but Snyder has decided to brush aside all the adversities to start working on his next. And apparently, he has chosen what to work on - a movie adaptation of Ayn Rand's best-selling novel, The Fountainhead.

The novel which came out in 1942 is considered to be a literary masterpiece and talks about modernist themes with right-wing leanings. It revolved around a young architect who wants to see himself build a modernist society without compromising on his values. The premise of the novel is definitely a departure for Snyder who is known for making movies like Dawn of the Dead, 300, Sucker Punch, Watchmen, Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and of course, Justice League.

Zack Snyder had gone through a personal and professional crisis when he was working on last year's Justice League. As the movie was in post-production, his daughter passed away and he had to leave the project. The studios were also not happy with his work, and brought in The Avengers fame Joss Whedon to do reshoots. The movie turned out to be an average fare and underperformed at the box office. Since then, the fans have been clamouring for a Snyder cut of the movie. There is a rumour going around that the studios are looking to release the director's cut of the movie in November this year.
