Last Friday, quite a few films from Bollywood made its way to the cinema halls including Taapsee Pannu's Game Over and Tamannah Bhatia's Khamoshi. But sadly none of the films packed a solid punch at the Indian box office. However, Hollywood biggie Men in Black: International, also released on May 17 and has turned out to be the top performing film amongst the new releases. Starring Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson and Liam Neeson in the lead, Men in Black: International has been directed by Felix Gary Gray and so far it has minted Rs 10.90 crore in India which isn't bad at all. 'Men in Black: International' off to Low Start, Earns Good Globally

Just a while back, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the microblogging site Twitter and announced the opening weekend figures of the film. He wrote, "#MenInBlack: #International showed an upward trend on Day 2, but slipped on Day 3 due to #INDvsPAK cricket match... Fri 3.40 cr, Sat 4.20 cr, Sun 3.30 cr. Total: ₹ 10.90 cr. India biz. #MIBI #MIBInternational."

Further, a report in Boxofficeindia.com has stated, "Men In Black International felt the force of the match as collections dropped on Sunday. A film like Bharat had some support from smaller centers to prop up the collections against the match but this film is for multiplexes only so these multiplexes fell around 25-30% on Sunday." Men in Black: International Movie Review: A Humdrum Reboot That Relies Too Much on Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth’s Ragnarok Magic

Though MIB's business got affected on Sunday, the sci-fi film should do well this week at the Indian box office. However, the Hollywood release will have a tough time getting cash registers ringing once Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani starrer Kabir Singh hits the screens this Friday, June 21.
