Jisoo Distances Herself From Brother Amid Sexual Assault Investigation
The controversy began following reports that a man in his 30s, identified as "A," was arrested on charges of sexually harassing a female internet broadcaster. As online speculation intensified, suggesting the individual was Jisoo’s older brother, her agency, BLISSOO, moved quickly to address the rumours.
Represented by the law firm Kim & Chang, the agency issued a firm statement clarifying that the matters circulating online have no relation to Jisoo or her professional endeavours. The legal team emphasised that Jisoo has lived independently since her days as a trainee and has no involvement in the personal conduct of the individual in question.
Clarification on Agency Management
Beyond the criminal allegations, the statement also addressed rumours regarding the internal structure of Jisoo’s newly established label, BLISSOO. The agency denied claims that her family members are involved in the management or day-to-day operations of the company.
“While the artist may have received limited advice from family members during the early stages of establishing the company, no family member has ever received compensation or participated in decision-making,” the statement read, as mentioned in allkpop.
The agency further clarified that neither Jisoo nor BLISSOO has provided or plans to provide any financial or legal support to the individual involved in the investigation.
Legal Action Against False Information
BLISSOO expressed serious concern over the spread of unverified claims, citing a direct violation of Jisoo’s rights and reputation. The agency warned that linking the artiste to the incident through speculative reports is considered defamatory.
The legal representative confirmed that strict civil and criminal actions will be taken against those who create or distribute malicious content. This includes the misuse of the artist's name and image to spread false information. BIGBANG at Coachella 2026: BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Rose Dance and Cheer for Their Oppas in Viral Videos – WATCH.
