New Delhi, Aug 15: Fulfilling her fans long overdue demand of seeing her on social media, Sara Ali Khan finally made her debut on Instagram on Wednesday. The debutant actress decided to start this journey on India's 72nd Independence day by posting a visual rendition of the national anthem of India along with a pop art image of its author Rabindranath Tagore. The Nobel winning poet who wrote India's national anthem also happens to be her direct ancestor from her father's side. "Happy Independence Day #merabharatmahan#proudtobeindian," read her caption.

On the work front, the 24-year-old is busy prepping for Abhishek Kapoor's 'Kedarnath' opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Based on the floods in Uttarakhand, the film has been locked for a November 30 release. She will also be seen in Rohit Shetty's 'Simmba' alongside Ranveer Singh. The film, a remake of 2015 Telugu blockbuster 'Temper,' will hit the big screens on December 28 this year.
