Kannada film actor Niranjan, known for his role in the Darshan-starrer Odiya, was reportedly assaulted with a beer bottle during a violent altercation in the early hours of March 28. Niranjan Involved in Late-Night Scuffle

The incident began around 2:00 AM while Niranjan was returning on a two-wheeler from the residence of fellow actor Yashas Surya. According to the complaint, Niranjan stopped at the Canton Bar & Kitchen near Mantri Alpyne to drink water when an unidentified individual allegedly pushed him, sparking a verbal scuffle. The confrontation briefly subsided after Niranjan spoke with the bar owner and went inside. However, the situation escalated shortly after when a silver Toyota Innova arrived at the scene.

Actor Niranjan Attacked

Niranjan alleged that three to four individuals exited the vehicle and reignited the fight. The actor stated that the group verbally abused him, reportedly saying, "Even if you are a film artist, this is our area." The verbal dispute quickly turned physical. In his statement to the police, Niranjan detailed the nature of the attack, "Two of them hit me with their hands. Two of them hit me on the head with a beer bottle," Niranjan said. Case Under Investigation

Following the attack, Niranjan sought medical attention and subsequently approached the Subrahmanyapur police. Authorities have officially registered a case and are currently reviewing CCTV footage from the bar and surrounding areas to identify the suspects and the silver Innova used in the getaway. Police officials stated that they are investigating the sequence of events to determine the exact motive behind the escalation and to apprehend the individuals involved in the physical assault.
