Tamil film Kaappaan will be called Bandobast in Telugu. The news was shared by SS Rajamouli earlier. The first trailer of Kaappaan was released in April. Today, the first trailer of the Telugu version Bandobast was released. The movie stars Mohanlal, Suriya, Boman Irani, Arya and Sayeeha in key roles. The first footage from the action-heavy film was released by none other than Rana Daggubati. The movie has been directed by KV Anand, who seems to have brought in finesse in emotions and action. This man certainly knows the craft. The first look at the Telugu is not at all different from the Tamil film. Bandobast: SS Rajamouli Unveils the Telugu Title of Mohanlal and Suriya’s ‘Kaappaan’.
Suriya has stayed away from the action genre for a while, so it is very interesting to see him smash it out of the court once again. Sayeeha holds her ground in a cast led by men, mainly. The background score is impressive. The cinematography also looks slick. Especially a shot of Suriya sitting inside a water pipe. Kudos to Abhinandan Ramanujam for the fantastic work in that department. Kaappaan Teaser: Suriya and Mohanlal Starrer Looks Like an Exciting Action-Packed Political Drama.

Mohanlal takes up an impressive role in this film of what looks like an Indian Minister joined by Boman Irani, who too plays a political character. Earlier, Telugu star Allu Shirish was also to be a part of the ensemble cast but he walked out of the project. He was replaced with Arya. Harris Jayaraj has scored the music for the film. Bandobast has been produced by Lyca Productions and the KV Anand film is all set to release in August 2019.
