In a statement released on social media, Vijalakshmi Darshan addressed the incident, which occurred in Bengaluru's Rajarajeshwari Nagar (RR Nagar), clarifying the circumstances surrounding the minor collision. According to her, a Ford Endeavour linked to Vineesh was involved in a slight mishap with a two-wheeler, which she described as a "minor road incident" not uncommon in Bengaluru traffic.
Crucially, Vijalakshmi stressed that Vineesh was not behind the wheel. "We would like to clarify that the news being circulated by certain media outlets claiming that Vinish met with an accident and has been hospitalized is completely false. Vinish is absolutely safe and doing well. He was not driving the vehicle; as is usually the case, our driver was behind the wheel," her statement read.
She further explained that her son merely stepped out of the vehicle after the incident to check on the condition of the individuals riding the two-wheeler. She also highlighted that the other party involved acknowledged their mistake and apologised, leading to an immediate resolution of the matter at the scene itself, with no injuries reported.
