YouTuber Chhavi Varshney, Mother Killed in Road Accident While Heading to Ujjain for Mahakal Darshan

Family Was Travelling to Ujjain
Chhavi, her parents and a relative had left Hathras on Monday for a visit to the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. According to Navbharat Times, five people were travelling in the car: Chhavi, her parents Shyamlal and Sarika, relative Surajpal and the driver. The collision occurred the following morning in Agar Malwa district.
Local police and residents reached the spot after the crash. The injured were taken to a nearby government hospital in an NHAI ambulance, where doctors declared 23-year-old Chhavi and her 55-year-old mother dead. Father, Driver and Relative Injured
Chhavi's father Shyamlal, the driver and relative Surajpal suffered injuries in the accident and were taken for medical treatment. Police sent the bodies of Chhavi and her mother for post-mortem examination. Authorities have also begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.
The news of the deaths reached the family's home in Hathras, where relatives and acquaintances gathered following the incident. Chhavi's death also prompted condolences from people familiar with her social media work.
Chhavi Had a Large Online Following
Chhavi was a popular digital creator from Mahokhas village in the Hathras Junction area. Reports said she launched her YouTube channel in 2021 and regularly posted daily-life vlogs and other videos. She later also created online gaming content. Her YouTube channel was reported to have more than 700,000 followers, while her Instagram account had more than 100,000 followers.
Her father reportedly runs a grocery shop in the village. The family has been left in shock following the deaths of Chhavi and her mother during the Ujjain trip.
Investigation Underway
The accident has been reported by multiple outlets, with the location identified as the Ujjain-Garoth four-lane road in Agar Malwa district. Initial reports describe a collision involving the family's car and a truck, while police are investigating the circumstances of the crash.
The incident has brought attention to another fatal road crash involving travellers on the Madhya Pradesh route, while the injured family members continue to receive medical treatment.
