The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) eventually granted the film an 'A' certificate on July 9, 2026, after a nearly seven-month delay and numerous suggested modifications. Originally aimed for a Pongal release in January 2026, the film's certification was postponed after objections were raised over certain scenes.

Reports indicate that the CBFC mandated 12 specific edits to the film.
