She and her cousin were walking towards their parked car when an unknown man began to follow them. The actress claimed that the man engaged in overtly obscene behaviour while trailing them.

In her Instagram Story, which included a video of the alleged incident, Divya Suresh wrote, “Tonight, my cousin and I were walking to our car at around 11.30 pm when a man started following us. While following us, he was openly touching himself. We noticed it immediately and called him out, but he still didn't stop. He continued until we got into our car.” The situation escalated even after they managed to get into their vehicle and lock the doors, with the man reportedly continuing his inappropriate actions outside the car.

A passer-by on a two-wheeler reportedly intervened and confronted the accused, urging him to leave the vicinity. However, the man allegedly refused to desist from his indecent behaviour despite the warning.
