Time for the BARC ratings yet again! TV fans, who await the BARC report as to find out if their favourite TV shows have made it to the Top 10 TV Shows list, may rejoice now as the BARC report of week 1 (from Saturday, December 29, 2018 to Friday, January 4, 2019) of 2019 is here. While the year 2018 had quite a happening end, and the race for TRPs saw a major twist in week 52, what is striking about the TRP result this time is Naagin 3, which is slipping down. Yes, you read that right! Ekta Kapoor's supernatural show Naagin 3, which was in the first position ever since it's premiere, lost its throne to the grand finale of Indian Idol last week, while this week, it didn't even make it to the top five list. In fact, The Kapil Sharma Show made an entry into the top five. Well, Kumkum Bhagya is leading the list this week. Top 10 shows (Urban)

In the 1st week of 2019's data from the Hindi GEC Urban chart, the telecast of the first award show of the year, Star Screen Awards is leading the list with 9.1 million impressions viewership, which was followed by The Kapil Sharma Show with 8.1 million impressions, that took a staggering opening. While Super Dancer Chapter 3 Auditions (with 7.6 million impressions viewership) took the third position and Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya (the only fiction show made it to the top five) was at the fourth position, the grand finale of Bigg Boss 12 got 6.2 million impressions viewership finished the top five list. The other five shows that made it to the Top 10 list are Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, Naagin 3, Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Kumkum Bhagya and Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki.

Top 10 shows (Urban + Rural)

The No 1 show in the urban and rural sector was Zee Anmol's Kumkum Bhagya with 14.4 million impressions viewership, while Star Screen Awards took the second spot with 11.8 million impressions viewership. While the dancing reality series Super Dancer 3 - Auditions took the third position on the TRP charts, Zee TV's Kundali Bhagya was on the fourth place. Taking the fifth position on the charts, The Kapil Sharma Show garnered 10.5 million impressions viewership, followed by RadhaKrishn on Star Bharat with 10.4 million impressions viewership. Ramayan was followed by Zee TV's Tujhse Hai Raabta, the love story of Malhar (Sehban Azim) and Kalyani (Reem Shaikh). Zee Anmol's Mahek with 9.4 million impressions was on the ninth spot followed by Kumkum Bhagya at 9.2 million impressions. Watch this space for further updates.
