Talking about the contestants, TV actress Dipika Kakkar, former Indian cricketer S Sreesanth, singer Anup Jalota are confirmed to enter the house. TV actor Shaleen Bhanot, Karanvir Bohra, Neha Pendse are rumoured to be on the contestant's list of Bigg Boss 12. The theme this year is vichitra jodis, which means that the contestants will enter the house in pairs. At least the commoners are. The makers have officially introduced two commoner jodis so far. Nirmal Singh, a cop and Romil Chaudhary, a lawyer will set foot inside the Bigg Boss house together. And then there is Gangs Of Wasseypur singer Deepak Thakur and his fan. Rest of the jodis will be unveiled on the premiere episode.

Not to forget, this time the makers have introduced something called the Bigg Boss Outhouse. The viewers will get to decide who will enter the Bigg Boss house a day before the show goes on-air. Some of the contestants will perform a task inside the Bigg Boss Outhouse and fans will get to see them on the Voot app and vote for them. Contestants with the maximum votes will get to go to the main house, while the rest of them will be sent home even before the show begins.
