Puneesh Sharma, who shot to fame with his stint in Salman Khan's controversial reality show Bigg Boss 11, has made his acting debut in the small screen with Star Bharat's show titled 'Muskaan'. Yes, you read that right. According to a report in IWMBuzz, the actor has been roped in to play the role of Sirji's (Sudesh Berry) son and will have a grey shade to his character." Confirming the news, the actor said, "I am really excited to be back on TV after a long break. After doing the popular reality show Bigg Boss 11 at the same time last year in October, I will be returning on TV with Muskaan. The story of this series is very different from the other daily soaps and I am very excited to play the main negative lead of the show. I will oppose Sudesh Berry in the daily. I have always admired him and now look forward to work and learn a lot from him. I always wanted to play a negative lead."

Muskaan, which is a daily soap that premiered on May 29, 2018, airs on Star Bharat, replacing Jai Kanhaiya Lal Ki. Helmed by Dilip Kumar, the show is bankrolled by Rashmi Sharma. Apart from Puneesh, Muskaan also stars Yesha Rughani, Sharad Malhotra, Puneesh Sharma, Sonakshi Save and Arina Dey in pivotal roles. Watch this space for further updates.
