Game Of Thrones Season eight is coming to an end and we are now only one episode away from witnessing the epic finale as we find out who takes the iron throne. The fifth episode of the season aired on May 13 and while it received some mixed reactions from fans, the episode saw some major character deaths including Lena Headey's Cersei Lannister and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau's Jaime Lannister. The twins who are shown to be in an incestuous relationship on the show died as lovers in an embrace on the penultimate episode of the show. The episode saw Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) attacking King's Landing with her dragon, Drogon. While she burnt down the entire city, she kept her word when she said, "We'll take them out, root and stem." The actors on the show have been known to be going through an emotional time as they are bidding goodbyes to their characters. Actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau shared a few pictures with Lena Headey from their final shoot as they exit the show. He captioned the pictures as, " The best, sweetest most wonderful sister from another mother @iamlenaheadey . That was a fun decade."

The stage is set for the finale which premieres on May 20. Currently, fans of the show have been discussing several theories now about who could take the iron throne. While there are some leaked spoilers doing the rounds too, we are not sure how much of them may come true.
Game of Thrones released its first season in 2011 on HBO and ever since the show has only grown bigger and better with a global fan following. The show's last episode will be aired in India on HotStar premium at 6.30 AM onwards on May 20.
