Kolkata, June 25: Just a few days after the Kolkata Metro furore, where a couple were thrashed because they hugged each other, here comes another moral policing case from city. The incident happened when the couple were travelling in the local train from Kolkata’s Sealdah station to Barrakpore on Saturday. They have shared their experience on Facebook and have also taken a video footage , which has got viral.

On boarding the train, the couple had requested a middle-aged man to shift a bit so that they could sit together beside each other. The man refused to budge and replied rudely saying that he won't because the cooling from the fan in the train would not reach him. The man misbehaved and yelled over the couple, and it was not only that one man, but there were other male passengers sitting next to him, who questioned the dress she was wearing. The girl by the way was wearing only a jeans and a plain top. In the video, the man can be seen shouting and threatening the woman. The couple has filed a complaint with the Railway Police.

Read the couple's Facebook post:

In the Kolkata Metro incident, that took place last month,  the man was kicked and punched, and the woman too was attacked. As per a picture that had gone viral, a woman was seen trying to shield the man from kicks and punches from strangers in the metro. The couple were heading from Chandni Chowk to the terminal Noapara station around 10 pm. Post the incident, group of students protested outside Dum Dum metro station carrying placards against moral policing, and many even questioned the lack of security inside the stations.

This comes as a huge shock that people have taken it upon themselves to moral police people around them, even though India is referred as a 'democratic' country!
